Inspired by natural concave surfaces and undulations of a sea shell is the Cowrie Rocker by Made in Ratio. There is something hauntingly exotic about this piece and it begins with its shape. At first glance, it resembles a black whale pushing its buoyant body above the salty water and at closer glance it looks like chunk of a distant planet that was cut from a larger piece. I love how this object creates many feelings for me and adds a sense of wonderment and creativity in understanding its evolving form.
